In collaboration with West African Reformed Mission, we developed a bold brand and campaign strategy to help launch Teranga Village, a gospel-centered community that will house 63 girls from an unreached Senegalese community.

Together, we worked to craft a clear and compelling invitation for the Church to build “a home that makes heaven feel near”.

It’s helpful that you all came over and saw what God is doing in Senegal.

Sometimes we work so closely with this that we can get stuck in ruts and patterns. It’s so neat to have you look at this with fresh eyes — with sensitivity to both the artistic side and spiritual side.

CONNECT PEOPLE TO POSSIBILITY

The best kept (not so secret) approach to story-driven campaigns? Media that moves. With this priority in mind, we worked closely with the Teranga Village team to capture quality photo and video onsite.

Together, we mapped out a highly-strategic media trip to the field (literally) where Teranga Village would be built in rural Senegal. Over a whirlwind weekend with gear in tow, we met with local leadership, their engineering partners, and even the girls who will get to call this new space home.

We returned home with full hearts and harddrives — equipped with a comprehensive library of photos and video. These assets became the building blocks for every campaign communication, including their vibrant vision video.

BUILD WITH THE BEST

There’s a well known African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”

The flipside of that, is that if you’re going far together you want to be with people who you can enjoy the journey with.

We had the privilege of collaborating with old friends and new to see the Teranga Village campaign come to life — and we know the end result it all the richer and better for each of the A-players involved.

A HOME THAT MAKES HEAVEN FEEL NEAR

A stylized illustration of Teranga Village, the logo highlights the keys of the campus design.

Inspired by living in gospel-centered community, design elements are contained within a circle — the same shape found in the heart of the campus design and rooftop of the open-air communal area.

Surrounded with “welcome” the logo represents the people-first posture of the community.
